LMAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Corporation of Lloyd’s, but with an independent Board of Directors,
which acts as a members’ agent to manage the run-off affairs of Names for whom it has been appointed agent,
either under the Substitute Agents Bye-law or by novation. LMAS
handles the affairs of
4,200
members with open
or run-off syndicate participations, including those with Exeat
policies.
LMAS has five Directors of whom one, Angela Kerr,
is an Executive Director and two more, Jock Worsley (the
Chairman) and Luke Savage (Director, Lloyd’s, Finance, Risk
Management and Operations) devote such extra time over and above
preparing for and attending Board meetings as is necessary.
Of the five Directors, three are resigned Names (including the Chairman),
the remaining two have never been Names. The Board comprises:

Chairman
Jock Worsley was
appointed Chairman of LMAS in May 1994. He is a former
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales, a Member of Cancer Research UK (and until recently
Chairman of the Cancer Research Campaign) and Non-Executive
Director at Brewin Dolphin. He was, for many years, Chairman
of the Financial Training Company Ltd and, until December
2001, a member of the Building Societies Commission and the
Financial Services Authorities Independent Complaints
Commissioner. From 1989 to 1994 he was a non-executive
director of Court Holdings Ltd with particular interest in
their members’ agency subsidiary, John Heynes Underwriting
Ltd, through whom he underwrote until resigning at the end of
1993. |

Angela Kerr |
Director
Angela Kerr was appointed
as Names’ Director of LMAS with effect from 1 June 2003.
She is also the agency’s Company Secretary and Compliance
Officer. Previously she worked for the Corporation of
Lloyd's for eleven years before joining a members agent
where she was responsible for the run-off Names. She joined
LMAS in December 1993.

Director
Christopher Hare has over 30 years of Lloyd's experience and was appointed to
the board of LMAS on 13 January 1998. He started in the market as a
Broker and became a Members
Agent in 1985 ending up, after a number of mergers, with Hampden Private Capital until 2001. He was an underwriting
member until he ceased to underwrite at the end of 1997, purchasing an EXEAT policy in 2004.
Chris is currently a Director of a new Managing Agency whose
Syndicate specialises in RITC business.

Director
Luke Savage is Director, Lloyd’s Finance, Risk Management and Operations. He was appointed to the Board of LMAS in November 2006.
Luke has over twenty years’ experience in the financial services industry; primarily focused on investment banking, but including
Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and Director of Finance at Morgan Stanley UK. He is also Director of other Lloyd’s subsidiaries; Additional Securities Limited,
Centrewrite Limited, Lioncover Ins Co Ltd,
Kinnect Ltd and Kinnect Holdings Ltd. |

Director
Graham White was
appointed to the board of LMAS in February 2006. He was
also elected as Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s with effect from
1
February 2007 and is Chairman of the Lloyd's Charities
Committee.
He is Managing Director
of Argenta Private Capital Limited and in a career at Lloyd’s
that spans nearly 40 years Graham has also been a reinsurance
broker, a Managing Agent and a Company Secretary.
Graham has a
wealth of knowledge and experience that is an asset to LMAS. He first became a Member in 1971 and is now a resigned
Name with an Exeat policy. |
